Sassy Cheryl's Challenge/Simon Says Challenge

I made this card for Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and for Simon Says Challenge, coincidentally both of the challenges being "Distressing." This is my favorite technique, so I had a blast with these challenges.

Stamps: Missing You (Sassy Cheryl's), sentiment from SU!
Paper: SEI, Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze (SU!)
Ink: Ink jet printer, Copics, Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Walnut and Antique Linen)
Accessories: Lace, flat-back pearls, distressing tool, Tim Holtz alcohol ink applicator, sewing machine, blue Stickles, pearl brad, Copics Airbrush System (to color flowers), MS Branch Punch.

I wanted to try to match the colors in the paper to the jeans, and I ended up with several colors blended with W3. I like the effect it created. It really reminds me of Jeans.

I sewed my layers of papers together, intentionally sewing crooked to reinforce the distressed look (an idea I got from Claudia Rosa). I distressed the edges of all the papers and added some Walnut distress ink to really give it a good distressed/aged look. I used Antique Linen Distress Ink to dye/age the lace. I liked the look of the brown pearls. I love the contrast it adds.

I used my Copics Airbrush System for one of my favorite techniques; coloring flowers. I started with white flowers and added some blue/green and brown. I finished it off with a pearl brad.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
