I added Snow Caps to Tilda's antlers.

Cute Card Thursday - Tree-mendous

Happy Thursday!

Our challenge this week at Cute Card Thursday is Tree-mendous!

Paper: Rockstar (DCWV)
Accessories: Flowers, leaf punch, branch punch.

This card was all about the coloring. I used distress inks to color my scene. I love the way distress inks allow you to mix and combine colors to create a more realistic scene. Due to the size of my picture, I used a minimal number of embellishments which provided a nice balance to the card.

I free-hand drew the sidewalk and added some cracks to give a little extra realism to the pavement.

I will be entering this card into the Just Magnolia Anything Goes Challenge (with the option of Brown and Creme, which are the colors of my base papers).

Thanks for stopping by today!

7 Kids College Fund - Halloween

Today at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge  we are celebrating Halloween. I must admit, Halloween is not my favorite holiday, but I found a good use for my Karate Tilda and opted to make a Halloween card for my sweet daughter.

You can find the following items at 7 Kids College Fund...

 Stamps: Karate Tilda

My daughter decided to take an Aikido class at school. On October 29, she will test for her next belt, which she tells me is orange. So, I made this card as a Halloween card, but also to celebrate her achievements in Aikido.

I used Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Pendant as a background for my "Happy Halloween" sentiment.

Some of my fun floral pieces combined with a Build-a-Brad.

I will be entering this card in the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge this month using the sketch shown here and the requirements to use orange, a hexagon, and sticking with the October/Fall Theme.

I will also be entering this card into the Magnolia Down Under Challenge - Halloween.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cute Card Thursday - Time For Cake

Happy Thursday!

Our challenge this week at Cute Card Thursday is Time For Cake! Here is my card...

Stamps: Chasing Tilda Prima Pixie Glen
Ink: Staz-On, Distress Ink, alcohol ink
Paper: Rustic (DCWV)
Accessories: Flowers, Liquid PearlsPearls, Ribbon, Rhinestone, floral finds, Cricut Lacy Labels, metal cake with brad, Copics Airbrush System,.

I painted Chasing Tilda with distress ink and embellished the image with Prima Pixie Glen and Liquid Pearls.

I have had this cake forever. It is an aluminum embellishment that is held in place with a brad or eyelet. I used alcohol ink to change the color, using brown for the cake and yellow for the candles.

I found these fun twigs in the floral section and colored my flowers with my Copics Airbrush System,.

I used the sketch for Just Magnolia and will be entering into their challenge.

Cute Card Thursday - Sketch

Happy Thursday!

Can you believe fall is upon us already. I love this time of year. Canning peaches and applesauce, cooler days, ahhh!

At Cute Card Thursday this week, we have a sketch challenge for you. Here is the beautiful sketch created by Mindy...

...and here is my card...

Paper: Tracy Porter (Colorbok)
Accessories:: Flowers, Liquid PearlsPearls, Stickles, lace, doily, Misc floral finds, paint dauber

Tilda is painted with distress ink. I have been asked how I paint the ground. Honestly, it is a mish-mash of distress inks combined to create the feel of the ground, with some detailed grass patches. Perhaps someday I will have the time to prepare a tutorial for you all.

Here are some of the floral finds mixed with some flowers.

Thanks for stopping by today. I look forward to seeing what you create with Mindy's sketch.

Ladybug Tilda - CLP plus more...

It's so nice to have some time for crafting again. I made this card Just Because.

Stamps: Ladybug Tilda, Prima Pixie Glen, Small Script (SU! retired)
Paper: Basic Gray LilyKate

I took the softer side of distress ink watercoloring again.

I used a Build-a-Brad (with cupcake from DCWV Sweet paper) for my bow.

I used  Spellbinders Ribbon Banners with the word Joy from Small Script. I popped it up with dimensionals and arched it a bit.

This card will be entered in the following challenges...

Unfortunately too late for the TOMIC Challenge

Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes

It's Thursday and time for another Cute Card Thursday Challenge! Our challenge this week is Anything Goes!!!

I borrowed the sketch from Just Magnolia Challenge...

...and then tweaked it a bit...

Accessories: Flowers, Spellbinders Fancy TagsLiquid Pearls, Cheese Cloth, Beads, Charm, Rhinestone Brads, Cricut Lacy Labels, Lace, MS Branch Punch and Leaf Punch, Beaded Berries

I have been noticing several artists using the no-lines technique. I have not mastered that yet, but do like the softer look of brown lines.

Once again, I have included some of my fun finds found recently in the floral section.

I used distress ink and a blending tool to antique the cheese cloth.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

7 Kids College Fund - Holiday Cards

Happy Wednesday!

It is time for another 7 Kids College Fund Challenge! This week, our challenge is to create a Holiday Card - any Holiday! I am not great about sending Halloween or Thanksgiving cards, so I opted for a Christmas card. Here is my card...

You can find the following items at 7 Kids College Fund...

 Stamps: Sitting Angel Tilda,

I used my Cricut Damask Cartridge for the background and added  Liquid Pearls for added effect.

I had some fun finds in the floral section that I have added to my card along with my flowers.

I had this little copper word charm that I added to my Spellbinders tag along with a couple pearls.

I like to add the white feathers with Sitting Angel Tilda because they feel like clouds.

I used the sketch from the Magnolia Down Under and will be entering this into their challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
