7 Kids College Fund Challenge #19 - Happy Easter

Happy Wednesday!

It's time for another 7 Kids College Fund Challenge.
Our challenge this week is Happy Easter - Make a Spring or Easter card. Here is my card...

Stamps: Bunny TildaValentine Bird House (Sugar Creek Hollow)
Paper: Pale Plum and Perfect Plum (SU!), DP from stash.

I colored Bunny Tilda with Copics, cut her out, and put her on the ledge of the bird house with just her foot longer than the card to give a dimensional feel.

I embossed my sentiment to make it pop off the black backdrop. I used Stickles to frame the opening.

I needed to change the color of some flowers, so used my Copics Airbrush System.

I hope you will come join us in our  Happy Easter Challenge.

Thank you for stopping by today!

7 Kids College Fund Challenge #7 - Birthday

Happy Wednesday!

This week, 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog has a really simple challenge - Birthday!

I made my card for my cousin's birthday in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. My cousin is a two-time survivor. She amazes me with her upbeat attitude and bubbly personality.

Here is my card...

You can find the following items at 7 Kids College Fund

I made the background behind Tilda. I used the technique Perfect Distress from Tim Holtz Book, A Compendium of Curiosities, page 38. I used pop dots to layer Tilda over this paper to make her stand out.

I paper pieced some Bella Rose paper for Tilda's dress. I colored the remainder of Tilda with a combination of Copics and distress inks.

I used my Copics Airbrush System to get just the right colors for my roses.

Here is a list of all items used:
Stamps: Tilda Wants a Hug, En Francais, Sweet Little Sentiments (SU!)
Paper: Bella Rose (SU!), LillyKate (Basic Grey)
Accessories: Copics Airbrush System, Pearls, Flowers, Perfect Pearls, Rose leaf and branch punch, ribbon, lace, DMC floss

The sketch is from Hanna's Hobbyblog. If you have not seen her work, go check out her blog. She is a wonderful artist.

Thanks for stopping by today. Check back tomorrow for another Cute Card Thursday Challenge.

I absolutely adore this image (Tilda with Cute Skirt). I colored her with Distress Ink.

I used Spellbinders Fancy Tags for my sentiment.

I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers Challenge. I think this is a great sketch.

7 Kids College Fund Challenge #5 - A Sketch by Lisa

Happy Wednesday!

Today, the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge has a new challenge for you. Lisa Andrews created a sketch with some added challenges. Using the sketch, make a Halloween card, and double up (use two stamps carried by 7 Kids College Fund on your card). Here is Lisa's sketch...

...and here is my card...

You can find the following items at 7 Kids College Fund:
Stamps: Honey Tilda, Bees

I colored Tilda with Distress Ink. For my double up, I used Bees from Magnolia, cut the bees and added them to the web.

I added some glitter glue to the wings to give her a little sparkle.

The candy corn is a button. I added Dew Drops to my flowers and to my sentiment. Dew Drops are a great embellishment, and 7 Kids College Fund has a big variety to choose from.

I hope you will join our challenge at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge (don't forget to use 2 stamps that 7 Kids carries). Thanks for stopping by today!

7 Kids College Fund Challenge #4 - A Sketch by Suzanne

For the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge  this week, Suzanne Dean challenged us to use her sketch to make a fall card. Here is Suzanne's sketch...

...and here is my fall card...

You can find the following items at 7 Kids College Fund:

I colored my image using Distress Ink. I made my frame with multiple punched leaves glued to an oval.

Once again, I did not have flowers the exact color I was looking for, so I used my Copics Airbrush System to color white flowers with fall colors.

Have you seen the X-Press It Paper & Tape *NEW* from Copics. It is available at 7 Kids. It is the hot item right now. I don't have mine yet, but hear it is the best card stock out there for blending Copics. I can't wait to try it.

I hope you will join our challenge at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge (don't forget to use a stamp that 7 Kids carries), and go get your X-Press It Paper & Tape while it is still in stock.

Have you heard the news. There is a new challenge blog in town. The designers at 7 Kids College Fund have started a challenge blog to help inspire you and get those creative juices flowing. The prize for our first challenge will be a $50.00 Gift Certificate to the store!!

The first challenge is Pink and Polka Dots. Here is my card for this challenge...

Stamps: Ladybug Tilda (Magnolia), Fancy Flexible Phrases (SU! retired)
Paper: Sultry (Basic Grey), Bazzill textured cardstock
Ink: Staz-On, Distress Ink, Chocolate Chip.
Accessories: Polka Dot ribbons, Branch Punch, flowers, sewing machine, circle punches, flat-back pearls

I used the sketch from Friday Sketcher #113 as the base design for my card.

Here is a closeup of my image, colored with distress inks.

I had some Prima flowers with polka dots that I added to my bouquet.

I used a 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch punch to create the pink and brown ladybug. I used my Chocolate Chip marker to color the dots.

Won't you come join us at 7 Kids Challenge Blog! I look forward to seeing your creations!
