7 Kids College Fund Challenge - Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday!

Our challenge this week at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge is ANYTHING GOES!

You can find the following items at 7 Kids College Fund:

My inspiration for the layout actually came from the Elizabeth Bell's World Challenge Blog. I just love their header and took elements from their header to incorporate into my card. I flipped the layout because of the direction of the stamp. I wanted to keep the focus on the card rather than carry it off the card.

I colored my image using lots of green for the Make It Colourful "Colour with Green" Challenge.

I layered my bows and added a Build-a-Brad with the checkerboard to complete the theme.

Won't you join our ANYTHING GOES challenge? Just remember to use a stamp that 7 Kids College Fund carries to be eligible for the prize!

Belles 'n Whistles Guest Designer - Butterflies

I am so excited to have been invited to be a guest designer for the Belles 'n Whistles Challenge Blog.

The challenge this month is BUTTERFLIES. Perfect challenge for me as I ADORE butterflies.

Ink:  Memento, Copics
Accessories:  Spellbinders Fancy Tags 3, Rose Leaf and Branch Punches, Flowers, gold pearls

I cut some butterflies out of the DCWV paper. I think they are so lovely.

I used half of the tag from the Spellbinder Fancy Tags 3 for the sentiment.

I am entering this card in the following challenges...

I would just like to say Thank You So Much to the Belles 'n Whistles team. It was a pleasure to join you this month!!!

7 Kids College Fund Challenge - Try Something New

Happy Wednesday!

It's a new year and time to try new things. Today at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge, we are asking you to try something new on your cards (a new coloring medium, a new technique, a new product).

For my card today, I used a coloring technique that is not exactly new, but one that I don't use very often. It is the Gamsol Magic technique using Prismacolor Pencils. I also used a new item (see the rose below).

You can find the following items at 7 Kids College Fund:
Stamps: A Pen Friend
Accessories: Liquid Pearls

I used my Prismacolor Pencils to color A Pen Friend, and then used Gamsol to blend the colors.

The day after Christmas, I finally broke down and purchased the McGill Rose Paper Blossoms. The large rose is my first attempt at making my own roses with this punch set.

I will be entering this in the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by today!
