Cute Card Thursday - Happy New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

This week at Cute Card Thursday, our theme is Happy New Year! This worked out well as we will be celebrating Christmas on New Year's Day with my in-laws.

Stamps: New Years Glass, Happy New Year (SU!)
Paper: Tim Holtz Lost and Found
Accessories: Prima Flowers, McGill punch, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Game Spinners, MS Branch punch

I stamped my New Years Glass image onto the Idea-ology clock face and colored it with Copics. I like the translucent look when the glass is stamped right on the designer paper.

I stamped Happy New Year on a calendar cut from the Idea-ology paper.

I love the look of sprays of distressed flowers. The great thing is, with punches, you can create a variety of looks with designer paper.

I am entering this in the TOMIC challenge - Happy New Year

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!

Christmas Tag Card #1

I have been playing with some new techniques, specifically Tim Holtz techniques. I must admit that I cannot take credit for the design of this tag. I CASE'd the design from Christine's tag.

Stamps:Santa Collage (Rubber Stampede - retired), Snow Swirled (SU!), Sentiment from SU!
Paper: Signature Christmas (My Mind's Eye)
Ink: Distress Ink, Memento,
Accessories: Festive Greenery, Grunge paper, Gold paint, ribbon

I took the idea for the tag from Christine and then added my own twist.

The Festive Greenery is one of my new favorite dies. I used both cardstock and grunge paper to create this spray. I added paint and distress ink to the flower and finished it off with a brad.

I am entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

Christmas Tag Card

I have been playing around with some new techniques, more specifically Tim Holtz techniques. I must say the tag on this card is not my design but is cased from this tag by Christine.

I put my own spin on the tag, and here is what I came up with...

Stamps: Santa Collage (Rubber Stampede - Retired), Snow Swirled (SU!), Sentiment by PSX
Paper: Signature Christmas (My Mind's Eye)
Accessories:  Festive Greenery, Grunge paper, ribbon

I just fell in love with this Santa stamp. I was fortunate enough to find it on Ebay.

The Festive Greenery display is a combination of grunge paper and cardstock with a touch of paint and alcohol ink on the flower.
