7 Kids College Fund Challenge - Signs of Spring

Our challenge at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge is "Signs of Spring." 

Stamp:  Romantic Tilda

Paper:  Basic Grey Paper

Ink: Staz-On, Distress Ink 

Accessories:  Flowers,  Pearls, Copics Airbrush System, Nellie Snellen Flower Branch #2, Branch Punch, cheese cloth, rhinestones, berries.

I water-colored the image with distress ink.

I used my Copics Airbrush System to color the flowers.

Accessories:  Sizzix Daisies #2 Bigz Die, Sizzix Flower and Vine #2 die, McGill Birch Leaf Punch, sunflower button,

I love the digis from Make It Crafty. The scenes are fantastic and offer so much variety in coloring.

I layered the Daisy dies with a sunflower button to create this sunflower that is coming up out of the picture. 

This card is my entry for the Make It Crafty store design team. I would love the opportunity to work with Zoe and create projects each month using her adorable stamps.

I am still attempting to perfect pleats. I used distress inks on this image. I am pretty happy with the result.

These lovely flowers are EZ shape Magnolia Flowers available at Whimsy Stamps. I added Stickles and Rhinestones for that extra zing.

My inspiration for the layout actually came from the Elizabeth Bell's World Challenge Blog. I just love their header and took elements from their header to incorporate into my card. I flipped the layout because of the direction of the stamp. I wanted to keep the focus on the card rather than carry it off the card.

I colored my image using lots of green for the Make It Colourful "Colour with Green" Challenge.

I layered my bows and added a Build-a-Brad with the checkerboard to complete the theme.

I cut some butterflies out of the DCWV paper. I think they are so lovely. 

I used half of the tag from the Spellbinder Fancy Tags 3 for the sentiment.

Cute Card Thursday - Flower Power

This week at Cute Card Thursday, our challenge is Flower Power. 

Stamp: Tilda Spreads Love
Paper: Basic Grey
Ink: Staz-On, Distress Ink
Accessories: Lace, Pearls, Liquid Pearls, Stickles, Flowers, Leaves and Branch punches.

I colored the image with Distress Ink. I used Stickles for the hearts and flowers and Liquid Pearls to embellish the edges of the image. 

I had a pretty red heart doily in my stash, but the red was a bit intense. I used pink acrylic paint and my white pearl paint dauber to lighten the heart to a nice soft pink.
