Christmas Tag - Tim Holtz Style

Happy Wednesday!

Are you in the holiday spirit yet? Well, today at 7 Kids College Fund, we are sharing our holiday inspiration with you.

I moved way out of my box for this tag. I love the look of Tim Holtz style, but am very intimidated when it comes to executing it myself. So, I challenged myself with some of the great Distress Stains, Distress Inks, and Seasons Silhouettes stamps, now available at 7 Kids College Fund.

I added snow to my Festive Greenery. Brrrr, can you feel the cold?

Thanks so much for stopping by today! We hope you will share your holiday inspirations with us at

Trimming the Tree

Happy Holidays!

Have you seen the great Saturated Canary Stamps available at 7 Kids College Fund

For this Christmas card, I used Trimming the Tree by Saturated Canary.

I decided to use Prismacolor Pencils to color. To give you an idea of how I think, let me explain why. I planned to use Distress Inks to watercolor, but used Staz-On on X-Press It paper. Unfortunately, X-Press It paper is not good for watercoloring, and Staz-On is not good for Copics. Rather than change over to Memento ink and waste paper, I thought "what can I use?" Ah Ha...Pencils. I blended the pencils out with mineral spirits. It was a nice change of pace. I need to remember those pencils.

The large rose was created using Tim Holtz Tattered Pine Cone die.

The paper I used has a lot of glitter, so I opted to add glitter to my image to keep the theme. I used Stickles for her top and bow.

I hope your holiday season is fabulous!

Penelope Spots Santa

Hey There!

Today, I have a fun Christmas project featuring Make It Crafty Chipboard products and images.

From the first time I saw this adorable circle shadowbox and the Santa's Sleigh Chippies, I saw Santa flying across the shadowbox opening.

With the release of Christmas Town and Penelope With Teddy digis, the scene was complete.

Santa was colored using a Gold Paint Dauber.

I added some Magnolia Spruce trees for effect, and finished it off with a frame of lace.

I used the following items on my project...

Magnolia Spruce Tree
Copics
Gold Paint Dauber
Lace
Paper from my stash

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Thursday!

My card today features two adorable new digis from Make it Crafty.

I took the new digis Christmas Town and Girls Carol Singing and merged them in Photoshop. I printed the end result and colored the new image with Copics.

Navaeh Christmas Card - Bling

Happy Wednesday!

It is time for another 7 Kids College Fund Challenge. Our challenge this week is BLING!

  Navaeh - Saturated Canary

Navaeh is a great, versatile gal. You probably noticed I used this stamp yesterday for my sister's birthday card, and today the same image is used on a Christmas card. I love versatile stamps.

Navaeh Birthday Wishes

Today, I am sharing the card I made for my sweet sister's birthday. She loves purple, so I had to add some purple in there.
