Cute Card Thursday #135 - A Sketch

Happy Thursday!

The challenge at Cute Card Thursday this week is a sketch by Lynn Anderson. Here is Lynn's sketch...

...and here is my card..

Paper: A Country Christmas (The Paper Studio)
Accessories: Felt Snowflakes (SU!), flat-back bobbles, striped ribbon (SU!), seed grass, star button, Rock Candy Crackle Paint

This adorable Santa Edwin is available for preorder over at 7 Kids College Fund. I distressed the image with distress inks and crackle paint.

I had a plain, tan star button. I wanted to give it the same distressed look as the picture, so I used some crackle paint and walnut ink. I then added a "weathered" stamp to give it a little more character.

The sponsor this week for Cute Card Thursday is Kraftin' With Kimmie Stamps. I hope you will join us for your chance to win two rubber stamps of your choice.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Julie your distress look is such a neat trick. I love your card. I think the Magnolia images are very cute even though I don't own any.

That crackle look is really great. It certainly adds to the vintage look of the card. Did you do that, or is that the DP?

Julie, teach me how to do the techniques you used! I love, love, love the vintage feel! I'm glad I got to see the image of the stamp. It's just as cute as I hoped it would be when I saw the one that came with the kit.
This is beautiful!
