Sugar Creek Hollow - Use This Digi

Happy Saturday!

The challenge over at Sugar Creek Hollow this week is to use one of these digis...

or

I chose the cardinal. Here is my card...

Stamp: Christmas Cardinal, Christmas Plaque, Warmest Regards (SU!)
Paper: Daisy D's, Brushed Copper, transparency, vellum.
Ink: Versamark, Distress Ink
Accessories: Spellbinders Fancy Tags, Grungeboard, Copper Embossing Powder, Stickles, crystal gems, Poinsettia flowers, Copper cord.

I printed Christmas Cardinal on transparency. I then applied Stickles to the back of the transparency so it will stay protected.

I colored the Grungeboard with distress inks, covered with crackle paint, and went over it with Black Soot distress ink. There were a few places that were shiny, so I sanded it a bit which added to the distress feel.

I used the sketch from Midnight Madness.

I am so glad you stopped by today. Stop by Monday. I will be posting a Christmas card using one of the new Christmas Tildas.

I can't believe how much detail you got to show through the glitter on the bird. He's beautiful with all of that sparkle!

Hi Julie,
This is one card I would love to get my hands on and just gaze at it. It has so many perfectly wonderful elements to it you can't catch how well they come together with just one look. Every element is like a well orchestrated song, they blend with each other to make a masterpiece!!

Beautiful card Julie. I do have to use my grunge board other than on my bracelets.

Well Julie, this is jawdropping gorgeous! There is so many totally exquisite details to this card, I just can't convey in words how beautiful it is. The stickles for coloring in the cardinal is a stellar idea and so effective and to layer over the other SCH image "Christmas Plaque" is very creative. Truly stunning and you take the prize this week!
