Cute Card Thursday #132 - Tic Toc

Cute Card Thursday has a great challenge for you this week. The challenge is Tic Toc - create a card using the theme of a clock or time. As first, this was a tricky one for me, but once I got the idea, I loved it.

Here is my card...

Stamp: Little Country Girl With Skirt and Big Hat (Art Impressions Fronts and Backs), Fence, Old Oak Tree (Magnolia)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Magnolia (My Mind's Eye)

Here is the fence open, revealing the rest of the sentiment.

The sentiment says...
"Time is a great healer, but a Lousy Beautician."
I found this in a book called Ultimate Guide to the Perfect Word. When I found this sentiment, Little Country Girl came to mind and I thought she would be perfect.

Little Country Girl is colored with Distress Ink. I used my Copics Airbrush System to color my tree and my background.

I wanted a little more detail, so I used my Copics Sketch markers to color the fence.

I hope you will take the challenge and create a Tic Toc card! Thanks for stopping by today!

Julie, love your card! I have all of those stamps and have done nothing with them :( After seeing your card, I'm inspired to pull them out and use them!
Great job coloring too!

Oh my Julie, this is just too adorable.. love the swinging gate and the sentiment inside and out. Like you said at first the idea is so odd but then when you really look at it, it grabs you and you understand the tic toc without using a clock.. Love it... and the coloring is just wonderful....

Not only very pretty, but so clever. The fence opening idea is brilliant and the sentiment and card match perfectly.

I love your card. I, too have some of those stamps and have yet to use them. Thanks for reminding me about them. I am waiting for my tree to come in at my LSS. I am becoming a Maggie junkie!

Julie this is fantastic - I just love that the fence swings away and the image is the backside of the girl. You are always so clever!
